YMoviE
by Dave Brown
Click to install
Developers: Download the source code.
Allows YME to recognize and play video files! (This plugin is invisible, and just adds the feature to YME on startup.) We debated adding this, but when we realized it was a mere 13 lines of code we couldn't resist. Don't believe us? Download the source!

YMESH (Yahoo! Music Engine SHell)
YMESH Plugin
by Steve Heyman
Click to install
The YMESH plugin adds a UNIX-style shell to the Yahoo! Music Engine.
Do you hate Windows, and wish that YME ran on UNIX? Well, it won't, but we did the next best thing. We brought UNIX to YME. Power users, rejoice. Using YMESH you can type cryptic commands that will allow you to do almost anything. There's very little documentation and error codes are most unhelpful, but hey, this is UNIX, right? YME lets you list your library in directory form, create playlists, extract tracks from CD, and there's even a JavaScript engine to run your batch files.
Here's a list of the commands that are available, and what they do.
addlocalfile - Add a local file to the media database
burn - Burn a playlist to CD
cd - Change Directory
cdinfo - Display information on a cd drive
clear - Clear the now playing playlist
cls - Clear the console screen
del - Delete an item from the media database
dir - List a directory
download - Queue a download
dump - Dump the metadata of a media object
exec - Execute a JScript (.js) or VBScript (.vbs) file using the YMESH Script Host
extract - Extract a file from CD
exit - Quit YME
help - Help
installwebplugin - Install a web plugin
load - Load a playlist into the now playing playlist
ls - List a directory
mute - Get/Set Mute
pause - Pause/Unpause playback
play - Play a media object or playlist
playing - Indicates if playing
pos - Print the position of the song
pwd - Print the working directory
query - Query the media database
queue - Queue an item into the now playing playlist
rating - Get/Set the rating of a media object
repeat - Get/Set repeat
save - Save the now playing playlist to a playlist
seek - Set the playback index
selectbyGUID - Select a plugin
sendIM - Send a Y!IM message
set - Set or display a preference entry
shuffle - Get/Set shuffle
skip - Skip a track
stop - Stop playback
su - Super-user mode
unqueue - Remove an item from the now playing playlist
uptime - Print the uptime of YME
ver - Print the YME and YMESH version
volume - Get/Set the volume
whois - Find information about certain users
------------
For more information about a command type the command by itself.
All commands support "| more" and redirection.
Use "> /dev/clip" to print output to the clipboard.
Use F3 to repeat the last command.
Use F9 to print the screen to the clipboard.

Smart Playlist Plugin
Smart Playlist Plugin
by Steve Heyman
Click to install
The Smart Playlist plugin create playlists based on criteria. You can create a series of rules based on the artist, album, title, creation date, and many other metadata attributes.
It supports the boolean operations of ALL or ANY, and allows logical comparisons of string or integer values. For example, if you are tired of wondering what songs you just added. Create a "recently-added" smart playlist so you can always listen to your new music.
